THE GROSSMANN PROMISE

You will receive a 5-year guarantee on purchased luminaires from 01 Nov. 2020.

Warranty conditions in favour of consumers:

The company Grossmann Leuchten GmbH & Co. KG grants buyers, insofar as they are consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code), a guarantee of 5 years on the advertised product, insofar as these have been purchased after 01.11.2020. The period for calculating the warranty period begins with the invoice date. The territorial scope of the warranty protection is the EU area.

The guarantee refers to the freedom from defects of the advertised product, including functionality, material or production defects.

Goods on display are excluded from the guarantee.

Should a defect occur during the warranty period, the manufacturer shall provide one of the following services at its discretion under this warranty:

  • Repair of the goods free of charge or
  • Replacement of the goods with an equivalent item free of charge.

Costs for disassembly, reinstallation, transport of the product as well as expenses and postage will not be covered.

In the event of a warranty claim, please contact the warranty provider:

Warranty claims are excluded in the event of damage to the goods due to normal wear and tear:

In particular with regard to the installed LED, the warranty is subject to the so-called L70/B10 value, which is a standard value in LED technology. This means that due to the use-related ageing of the LED, there is a gradual decrease in luminous flux (in lumens), due to a change in the colour location under the LEDs or due to the complete failure of individual LEDs on a surface. This decrease in luminous flux (in lumen maintenance = L) may drop to 70 % of the initial value and the proportion of failed LEDs (mortality = B) may not exceed 10 % by the end of the service life defined below. As long as these values are not exceeded, there is no warranty claim.

Service life: 30,000 h; L70/B10

  • improper handling,
  • improper installation,
  • improper cleaning,
  • non-observance of safety precautions,
  • use of force (e.g. blows),
  • Attempts to repair the unit on one's own,
  • Professional applications (e.g. continuous operation in hotels, offices, etc.)

The prerequisite for claiming under the guarantee is that the guarantor is enabled to examine the guarantee claim (e.g. by sending in the goods). Care must be taken to avoid damage to the goods in transit by packing them securely. A copy of the invoice must be enclosed with the goods to enable the guarantor to check whether the guarantee period has been observed. Without a copy of the invoice, the guarantor may refuse to honour the guarantee.

This manufacturer's guarantee does not restrict your statutory rights against us arising from the purchase contract concluded with us. Any existing statutory warranty rights against us remain unaffected by this guarantee promise. The manufacturer's warranty therefore does not infringe your statutory rights, but rather extends your legal position.

If the purchased item is defective, you can always contact us within the framework of the statutory warranty, irrespective of whether a warranty case exists or the warranty is invoked.

Claims arising from or in connection with this warranty shall be governed solely by German law, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
